  My elderly mother broke her leg requiring surgery to repair it, and needed to stay at a care center for the full 6-8 weeks it takes to heal. Although not my first choice of facilities, I have not been disappointed! Oak Brook Care is quite clean, the private rooms are nicely appointed and roomy (although the few double patient rooms are rather crowded and lack a lot of privacy), and there are numerous bright and interesting places to sit and visit outside of the rooms if desired. The songbird enclosure is a popular place and all ages really enjoy watching the colourful little birds. I've found that the employees are eager to help in anyway needed, and always seem to do so with patience and a smile on their face. Supervisors are very accessible and any concerns, questions, or complaints are addressed quickly. The meals are pretty tasty for the most part, and there seems to be a nice variety of entrees and desserts everyday to choose from. And visitors are welcome to eat with the patient free of charge. So I know that when my father visits, he will not go home hungry. That is a comfort to both me and my mother. So if you're considering this facility for yourself, or your loved one, I would definitely recommend it!
